Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is excellent, close to the tourist center and with stunning sea view rooms. The rooms are well-appointed and presented but may have a slight odor from the worn carpet outside. The staff is friendly and very helpful, especially Mr Tayfun Koseoglu. Dining options are decent but may have some minor issues. The hotel provides historical charm with walls within the compound.
The hotel offers a partial view of the Bosphorus Strait and decent rooms, but it's best to avoid if you want a peaceful stay due to noise issues and unpleasant smells when using the air conditioning.
The hotel offers a bright and slightly smaller room that was inconvenient being on the complete opposite side but overall not a big deal. The service was professional and helpful, although sometimes felt a bit intrusive. The location is excellent with sea view rooms overlooking the sea of Marmara. Dining was a mixed experience with some great services but below-average options at times.
The hotel is set at the base of the hill near the Mosque and Basilica, offering very easy access to all of Istanbul. The rooms are comfortable with both twin and queen size bed options, despite being located on the complete opposite side. The service, managed impeccably by Monsieur Levi who treats every guest like royalty, is superb with the exception of noisy maids in the mornings. The location provides a brilliant gateway to major historical sites and a view of the Marmara Sea, although reaching main attractions might involve walking on high slopes and bumpy roads. The breakfast experience, though offering home-made bread, could be better due to the presence of fly insects over the fruits. Overall, good services and accommodation conditions still take precedence over the minor inconveniences.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of ups and downs. Despite the small, dirty rooms with old furniture and lingering smoke smell in a non-smoking room, the breathtaking view of the Marmara Sea made up for it. The location was perfect, just a short walk to popular landmarks and restaurants.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were excellent and very clean, although slightly smaller than what I expected. The bed was comfortable, and the view was beautiful. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly helpful and kind. The location was truly magnificent, offering a unique view of the Bosphorus. The dining experience, while fair, could have been better, but the hotel's great location made up for it.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms were warm, clean, and spacious, offering a cozy retreat within walking distance from key historical sites and the Sultanahmet street train station. Although there were some minor cleanliness issues like dust on the boiler and traces of urine on the toilet seat, I believe it may have been an isolated incident.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The location is superb, right by the sea and within walking distance to major attractions. The rooms were cozy with stunning city and sea views, despite feeling a bit chilly at first. The service was top-notch, with hard-working staff who were attentive to our needs, though some could benefit from more training. The dining experience offered a great view of the Bosphorus, even though the options were a bit basic.
